I am so proud of myself. I trained and finished my very first half marathon. Thanks so much to Ginger for running the whole way with me and to Jeremy and the boys for riding around to cheer us on. Two years ago I would have said, "RUN? ARE YOU NUTS?" But now I feel very accomplished. Not bad for someone who thought run was a four letter word!

Halloween

As you can see, Asher Clark made the cutest monkey. He loved the whole Halloween holiday, the "comekins" as he calls them and the "treat treats."

Race for the Cure

So I am so impressed with James Clark and Nanna as well. James ran the entire 3 miles with Asher and I and never gave up. Nanna ran too. Pretty impressive if you ask me. It was a pain with the stroller and I think this is the last year I will take the little man until he can walk, but still it was fun.

Rachel's Wedding

The Umstead was amazing and the weddng was so pretty. The best part was seeing everyone from Rhodes and getting back in touch. It seemed like we had never been apart...except for the factthat we actually have careers and families now!

The Children's Museum
I was wondering what I would do to entertain the boys through the winter months and this seems to be the ideal. They love it and it is never boring.

Father's Day
Just wanted to give a shout out to the two best father's I know. The first is obviously my daddy. Although he is without a doubt the goofiest man I have ever met, he was the most loving, supportive father a gal could have. He is also a great grandfather...not many little boys can say that their grandaddy feeds the breakfast and picks them up from Parent's Day out on a weekly basis. THANKS DAD!
The other fabulous Father in my life is my dear hubby. Although I nag him more than I should, and I complain that he doesn't do enough around the house, I could not ask for a harder working man. he not only works like a champ, he also attend school to better our family and makes time to spend with the boys. I have never met a more affectionate, loving and caring male in my life. I can only pray that Asher will grow up to be half the man his father is.
I count my blessings daily for having these special men in my life, and the gift of a little one growing more and more like a big boy everyday.

Teens make some bad choices

So, most of you know that we had a strange accident on Alicia the other night. A boy and girl were drag racing down our street. The girl came around the curve so fast that she hit neighbors house and smashed into my car. Obviously insurance will fix it, but what in the world was she thinking?

June 10th, 2008
So today is our third wedding anniversary. We met in 2003, got engaged and bought a house in 2004, married in 2005, pregnant in 2006, had Asher in 2007 and we are now trying to raise a great little boy. I think we are done with big moves for a few years.

It is strange to think that a year ago Asher was only a few months old and we were in the strange haze of new parenting. Three years ago all we could think about was our impending trip to Costa Rica and five years ago we had just met. We often say it seems like we have been together a lot longer, not in a bad way, but just like we are so in tuned to each other. I guess mom was right, "When you know, you just know."

First Swim of the Summer

Well the pool at the JCC opened the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and we sure loved that. I was not sure how Asher would react since he has not swam all winter, but he was all about the water.
